“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a habit.”
Will Durant
If we are what we repeatedly do, then we’re also what we repeatedly think. And no one can blossom if their mind is riddled with negativity and self-doubt.
Have you tuned-in to your inner monologue lately? Is your mind a nice place to call home?
If you’re constantly telling yourself you aren’t doing well with x, y, or z, then that’s what your brain learns to look for and focus on. For example, if you repeatedly think you can’t cook, then you’ll focus on every little thing that goes wrong when preparing a meal while the person who believes they can cook views mistakes as an opportunity to do things differently next time. This can be applied to every aspect of your holistic health journey: accepting your body, exercising, consciously spending, spending time with your loved ones, etc. Change your self talk, and you change the way you view your world whether it’s your skills in the kitchen or literally anything else in life.
Knowing that your self talk impacts your ability to acquire new skills and knowledge, emotional well-being, self-esteem, and confidence, can you be your own cheerleader so that you can blossom into your best self this summer? Repeat after me, “I am doing the best that I can, and I am enough.” This has been a powerful mantra for me as of late, so I hope it brings you the same fuel it provides me: Let’s celebrate our power and what is beautifully and uniquely us. 💕
