Spring has a way of stirring us. 🌱
The longer days. The energy of renewal. The pressure to bloom.
But for many high-achieving women, spring doesn’t feel like a fresh start—it feels like overwhelm with a side of guilt.
You want to rise, create, reset your habits…
But your body says, “I’m not ready.”
If you’ve felt that tension between desire and depletion, you’re not broken. Let me explain.
Why Your Nervous System Might Be Saying “No” to Growth
In a female body, stress isn’t just a mental load—it’s a full-body experience that changes your capacity to focus, take action, or trust your next steps.
When your nervous system is stuck in:
- Fight/Flight → You push too hard or procrastinate.
- Freeze → You shut down and can’t start.
- Fawn → You abandon your needs to keep others happy.
And here’s the catch:
Even “positive” seasons like spring can trigger those states if your body hasn’t completed past stress cycles.
Your brain might say, “Let’s start fresh.”
But your body says, “We’re still recovering.”
Regulation Before Rise
You don’t need more motivation.
You need to feel safe enough in your body to rise.
Because when your nervous system is regulated:
- You take action without forcing it.
- You feel focused without bracing.
- You rise without the crash.
Try This 60-Second Reset
One of my favorite quick practices to reset a wired or shut down system:
💖The Shoulder Drop + Sigh💖
- Sit or stand with your feet grounded.
- Inhale gently through your nose.
- On the exhale, drop your shoulders and release a soft audible sigh: “haaaah.”
- Repeat 3–5 times.
Why it works: This helps discharge tension from the trapezius muscles, a common stress-holding area, while stimulating the vagus nerve—your body’s brake pedal for stress.
It’s simple, subtle, and science-backed.
One Last Thing…
Spring isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about rising from regulation.
If you’re craving a new rhythm—one that honors your nervous system and feminine physiology—you’re not alone. Keep following along this month. I’m sharing more tools and insights in a couple weeks.
And remember:
You’re not lazy or unmotivated.
You’re just ready to rise differently.
